WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?
Metro Bakersfield Moves is a Long-Range Transit Plan (LRTP) to guide GET over the next 20 years.
GET creates a new LRTP every 5 to 10 years to ensure alignment with agency goals, recent trends, community needs, and future projections. Metro Bakersfield Moves will identify local and regional transportation needs, challenges, and opportunities, create a cohesive planning effort, and prioritize short to long-term transit investments.
HOW LONG IS THIS PROJECT?
Metro Bakersfield Moves is a year-long project.
Over the next twelve months, GET will be completing a comprehensive evaluation of its transit system to develop recommendations that provide more convenient and efficient connections to jobs, services, and educational opportunities.
